A Good Source of Energy for Dogs

Traditionally, dog owners have been trying to adjust their dog’s diet by simply feeding them food made from all natural ingredients.

However, foods found on the market today are more confined for longer lasting. They are also made into a more natural form versus the foods that you were would find in the wild.

Foods such as bone meals, hog livers and horse meat are all considered to be natural ingredients that are available to dog owners.

Generally speaking, such meats are not considered part of a normal human diet. Instead, a human’s diet generally consists of a large selection of natural foods. All of these foods have been experimented as dog food.

Meat is one of the most natural ingredients, as well as a great source of protein that can be fed to your dog. Other sources of protein that you can feed your dog and are considered to be healthy are plants, milk and eggs. For anyone who owns a dog, there is a huge reservoir of protein available.

When natural foods contain protein, they are often a source of high energy. Generally speaking, most non-natural foods contain less energy than those foods that are natural.

Carbohydrates and fats that are found in natural foods are considered to have the best source of energy.

Fats are a more concentrated energy source than carbohydrates. However, carbohydrates are often lower in price. Carbohydrates also help in diluting the protein in diets highly consisting of meats. As well, they can be sued to lower the high fats diets’ caloric density.

Corn oil is one of the best energy sources for a dog. In each gram of corn oil there are nine calories. In each ounce you will find 250 calories and approximately 124 calories in each tablespoon.

Each teaspoon contains approximately 62 calories. Corn oil provides nearly ten times more fatty acids are the source of fat in a food used by a dog.

Corn oil is also considerably inexpensive and can last for a long time. Other vegetable oils, such a safflower oil, olive oil, soybean oil and peanut oil are all used as a satisfactory source of energy for dogs.
